A few things to keep in mind before you get started: You need to have an agency license in good standing with the Department of Insurance in the state where you plan to write business, an active agency P&C Errors & Omissions policy with minimum aggregate limits of $300,000. Also, during this process we'll also conduct a criminal background check on your agency - it's how we ensure every Progressive customer has the best experience possible.

What to expect

Gather agency information We'll need current carrier information as well as
production reports and your E&O policy.
Please note: You must be in good standing with the Department of Insurance for the state(s) where you plan to write business.
Get started This application will take 45-60 minutes. Agency initiates appointment by answering the questionnaire, which asks for agency profile, licensing, production, and marketing information.
Review Licensing and territory sales manager review application. If additional information is needed, we'll contact you.
Notification Agency notified if appointment is approved or declined.
